 Is there something you do to get Rep point's or are they randomly handed out, & if so how do you hand them out to people you think deserve them?..do they come with posts, or what are they all about?...Thanks in advance for those who explain to an unworthy intellectual as myself. :o

Send me $238.69 and you'll have a host of rep points in no time! ;)

Go to the top right hand corner of the thread of the person you wish to give input about. You'll see A set of Scales, click on them. The rest you should be able to figure out.

From http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/reputation_intro:
Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.
You can affect another user's reputation using the "scale" icon in the title bar of one of their posts. This will bring up a window allowing you to approve or disapprove the post, and optionally (unfortunately, IMO) to state your reason for doing so. The effect your approval/disapproval has on the user's reputation is proportional to your rep power.

You need to have a certain number of posts before you get rep power. I'm not sure what that number is.

Here's another quote from the same web page:
User reputation can be a derisive element of your forum so great care should be taken before a decision is made to enable it.
