Hi. I've been recording a few tracks down into cubase and the monitor bar shows that the sound is working through the input. I don't hear it through the monitors.. actually I don't hear anything at all during and after the recording. The waveforms are visible and it shows that I did record.. Anything wrong w/ settings or something?

What did you set the output to? You have to make sure you are using the asio driver for the soundcard you are listening to AND you have to route the main output to that card.

Open up the quick start manual and it will tell you specifically how to do this in your version of cubase.

It may be that your monitors dislike your recordings to the extent that they are refusing to play them back?

dremits you could be right.. I assume you had many situations like that...
thanks for the heads up.

Many times.... Seriously though check what farview said; you need to make sure that the tracks are routed to your card's main outs.

I selected all ASIO TCnear's for the inputs in the device setups and stuff. I get a play back in cool edit pro but in cubase it isn't really working. What about the outputs? I set them as soundmax. and Yes I have read the manual and I did what it showed which was fairly simple but I still get no playback.

The playback was working few days ago so I know it's not really my soundcard cause I haven't touched it.
The thing is, there is playback in cool edit pro but not in cubase..

You say that it's not your soundcard, but if you have the driver set in Cubase for the TC driver you should have your monitors connected to the Konnekt 8. Or if you want to use your soundcard for playback, you'll need to change the driver in Cubase back to whatever your soundcard is.

Maybe that's it...maybe not?
