Hi-
First, thanks for your previous helpful responses.
Second,
I have tried recording a basic track (just testing) with both Cubase and nTrack studio. I am running my 4-track output into my basic sound card line-in. Just to test, I tried using the drum machine and also guitar. I did select the "line-in" on the Windows mixer.
With nTrack, it appeared to be recording, i.e., the meters were peaking. Yet, it wouldn't allow me to play back (I hit play and the counter does not move).
With Cubase, the meter runs when I hit record, but it doesn't appear to be capturing any sound.
I have checked the cable (1/8" stereo to 2 RCA)
This is extremely* frustrating. Any suggestions? My computer is playing wav files otherwise (e.g., Windows sounds)
there's got to be more to computer recording than this!
Thanks!
