My new Mackie's channel 13 is on the fritz after 3 weeks of out of the boxness! I know it's the line input as it makes a lot more noise when I touch it. When I just leave it it just makes this kind of like blowing in the mic noise. Oi. Help? Please?

I happen to work at a Mackie authorized service center. Depending on what model you have, It sounds like bad FET's on the input of that channel. This is of course an educated guess without actually troubleshooting the board. I'd look for your nearest authorized service center or call Mackie for repair info.

Universal solution.

1. Grab a medium to large sized rock.
2. Place the unit on a hard surface
3. Pound the unit with the rock repeatedly 10 to 15 times.
4. If that doesn't work, try a cinderblock.

Anything is fixable if you just use the right tools....

Thanks Monte, I have a 30 day guarrantee still in effect @ Guitbox Center, so I'll pack it up and haul it over there on Saturday. It's a 1604VLZpro BTW.

Let's see if this works. Here I've captured the wonder of this Mackie's exceptionally rare noisemaking abilaties.

Crap. Where can I can get hosting that actually WORKS!?

I think Tripod is pretty popular. It's owned by Lycos now too I think, so out to be plenty reliable.

No, no. I understand your just joking, but just to defend Mackie on this one I've been using Mackies for years at my church and have had absolutely no problems.
