Just to test it out before the gig, we tried to record a rehearsal. It was done in a pretty awfull rehearsal studio in Tel Aviv, with nothing but a pair of MXL-1006, mixed into a MiniDisk recorder. I later edited the songs and "mastered" them with Endorphine.
This one turned out especially nice. I didn't play or did anything in this song but record it, so I won't keep it on the site for more then a day or two, unless I get permission from the singer/song writer Ella.
Tell me what you think!

Well I dove into your Nowhereradio site and I think I found the tune you're talking about. Ya know it just makes me smile knowing that folks around the world are bangin' out tunes. Not bad for two mics hung out in front of the band.

I think it sounds like what you did....stick two mics up...nothing more...nothing less. Great for capturing rehersals, listening to overall performances, etc. Probably lacking for any other use, however....'cept maybe securing a gig at a club or something.

I didn't know you guys sang in Japanese in Tel Aviv!!!:p

Believe me, it doesn't sound better if you can understand her... :p

I have my issues with this singer. She's obviously very talented (except for her awfull mic technique. You can sometimes barely hear her), but being a freshman in a Jazz oriented music school, she tends to write songs exactly the way she was told to do it in this morning's lesson (stick Major 7th here and there just because they sound "Jazzy").

After the actuall show, I'll post some clips of the songs I actually play in. (Different singers too ).

ah ok...i assume the last one is the one you are talking about correct?

i think its fine for just setting up 2 mics. sounds great enough.

The way this crappy room is built, we had no choise. Soe of the P.A speakers were behind the singers...

Ok,Thats what I was thinking. It sounds pretty good considering the situation. Was this recorded in Israel?
