Hey... I need to get a rack mountable patchbay(doesnt have to have a lot of inputs) that won't cost too much and wont sacrifice sound quality. Suggestions?

I use the balanced Behringer one and it is fine (59$)

That Horizon looks like a re-badged Neutrik patchbay.

I don't think its even rebadged. If you look at the picture closely you can see it says Neutrik on it.

I'm debating getting a Neutrik bay or just saving up for an ADC that I'll probably have for the rest of my life.

I got a Nutrik patchbay from Guitar center just like the rebranded or not Horizon one linked above. It was out of box and the only thing in stock so i took it home. Total crap. I'd have to futz around with the plugs to get them to pass a signal, pulling some partially out. I tried al kinds of different cable to just make sure it wasen't my cabling but the result was the same everytime. I took it back, told the dude it was defective, haggle with him to get me a new in box one (I got the out of box one well below price) I get that one home, same friggin crap! I decided maybe I'd ebay it, but just kept it. I use the last four modules to patch into my headphone amps and thats it.

you want it? $35 :D

What i use is some wierd brand from some company who's name I can't remember. something like AudioMaster. Made in england i think. Got it cheap off ebay, it looks suspect, but I've never had any problems. Has plastic modules that you flip around instead of a card. The idea behind buying the neutrik was to "upgrade" lol.

Keep checking eBay. I got two Re'ans real cheap and they work just fine.

rpe

Your experience is certainly unique, I haven't heard anyone else with those problems. Neutrik been reliable for me
