Rick,I never said anything about pouring a slab. There is more than one way to skin a cat.Everything used to float my floor cost me zero.Take a look at the pics.
Please note WHO I was talking to. I wasn't referring to you.
Sheppard, have fun. I'm done with this thread. Time to help someone who needs it.

BTW, in regard to your "floating floor", maybe you could share with us how you calculated the compression of whatever elasomers you used, in order to correctly "load" them. And if its not to much, could you also share how you overcame LF transmission/resonance of this membrane and what was the calculated low frequency transmission point? If you don't understand the question, perhaps reading Kieths reply in this thread will help.

Rick,I assumed when you started the post with my name that you were talking to me.
And yes,I understand the question. If you would make an effort not to come
off as a know it all,a newby probably could too.
The elastomer that I used is designed to isolate heavy HVAC equipment from
the buildings in which it sits.More than enough for my purposes.
How many studios have you built?

Know it all? On the contrary, why do you think I asked you? Afterall, you are the studio builder, right? I'm only trying to learn from those who DO know it all. :)

Rick, that is not the truth at all.You enjoy impressing newbs with bullshit.
You talk calculations and elastomers and blah fucking blah. The truth is,you have no practical experience at building a studio, yet you would have the newbs here think that you have actually applied some of the knowledge
you impart on them. You have read quite a bit about studio building, and
you can make one hellofa cad drawing, until you have something besides an untreated bedroom,go fuck yer self pal.

Sheppard, building ONE lame home studio doesn't makes you any more of an expert than I. As to impressing newbies...thats a laugh. I don't need to impress anyone. I'm here to help, which is a far cry from your purpose here, so kiss my ass fuckface.
