newbie Q good usb interface?

hello, i am looking to buy an interface and i need some help finding one that works well. i need the interface to connect to my laptop via usb, it needs to have 8 TS or TRS inputs which then turn into 8 separate channels in pro tools. it doesn't need to have any fancy mic preamps or other things just 8 channels into pro tools.

i dont think i need any mic preamps because im just coming from the outputs of my mixer. $500 if that is reasonable but im willing to save up for something more expensive.
