Newbie! Need some help.

I'm pretty new to this and I have lots of questions. Where do i start? I'll just list the equipment that I have and maybe someone can tell me what else I need.

I have the following:
Mackie D8B Mixer
Mackie HDR24/96 Multi Track Revorder
Akai MPC 4000
Korg Trion 76 Pro
Event TR5 Monitor's

I don't even know how to use my mixer that well yet and I have no idea on how to use the HDR recorder either. Can someone give me some pointers?

Brother, you are going to need to pretty much dive in and learn trial and error. First.... read the manuals on the mixer and recorder form cover to cover. Then use the handy charts and wiring diagrams they probably have in there. Pretty much start plugging your gear in to the tracks of your choice and hit record.... play it back. record something else on a different channel for fun. It's impossible to list all the possible ways to get you started per se. Like I said read the books for that gear and by all means explore!
