Newbie having dificulties....

Ive just recently started setting up a studio. Ive purchased an Mox2 and i am using pro tools. Im curious to learn how i can get the persons voice to record onto the computer and what program is the best to use to put the voice into background music. Any help is greatly appreciated and again im just starting and i really want to learn this shit.
