Jimmy Page XXVIII
Firstly this is not an original ...its a cover of a Dave Matthews Song called Crash Into Me ....basically i wanted to try out 2 different mics and see what kind of sound i could get from them
Crash Into Me
Beware - I AM NOT A SINGER - but i sang in this song for experimental reasons only ...to see what the mic would sound like ...also i can't sing in higher octaves so its very low singing ...
i used a sennheiser e845 for Vox - added a bit of compresion , Reverb and Eq
I recorded 3 guitar (epiphone les paul) tracks 0ne with the Sennheiser e845....another with a crappy £20 / $40 dynamic mic ....just to get a different tone
I panned these 2 guitars L/R 75 and added some light reverb
then i added a 3rd guitar track with my Boss GT-6 FX Pedal and added a little reverb .....
Please be as honest as you want ...like i said i'm not a singer ....just wanted to see what you guys thought of my mixing and mic sound quality.... and if you think i've massacred the song ..don't be afraid to say (By the Way i'm Irish - thus the accent)
