Howyadoin,

I've been scratching the surface of what my Delta 1010 can do, and have a question regarding burning tracks I've recorded in 16-bit, 96KHz using Sound Forge 4.5 and 6.0. I'm using Nero 5 to burn the .WAV files to CD.

Isn't CD limited to a 44.1KHz sampling rate? Is Nero dithering the WAVs to 44.1Khz?

Also, I tried burning 24-bit, 44.1KHz to CD, it worked but output sounded like someone set the dB level on "kill"... I assume this is not a valid concept?

Please advise, and thanks as always!

Cd's have to be 44.1kHz/16 bit to be read able to be read by all players.
It's best to do the dithering/sample rate conversion before Nero, ie in Soundforge
