New upload song, need feedback

The main key sound is really annoying. Is it an 80's casio? The sort of sound that should sit well back not up front and in face.
The drums machine is monotonous. You need to prog or OD some breaks & fills.
The fast choppy chords sound fine.
I think you need to revise the lyrics as they are rather more than repetitive.
Get a good sample for the horn lines & edit the off button from the end.
Back to work...

Sounds cool to me, even with the far out synths :cool:

Its sounds kinda like its taken from an old cassette on the overall sound, is it an old recording?
If not Its not meant as an insult, it just sounded like that on my system.

Anyways nice work, on the tune.

Is this an old tape?? It is fading out and distorted like tape. It wont win any awards for recording quality, but the song is good and quite catchy. Where' my skinny 80s tie? :confused: ;)

I must say Yes! This is a song I have done a long time ago. but it was not the eights it was around 1993 and I didn't do anything with this song I had it put away, But now that you all as given me your inputs I think I will go back to work on this song.

Irwin, where have you been lately?? What a happy upbeat song! Reminds me of alot of other songs of a similar genre. Irwin I've heard some of your other stuff and its very well recorded. Are you going to re-record this one? Like RayC said, you could do alot with better quality samples. You don't have to replace everything in the mix, because you can create a paradox by keeping certain elements hi-fi and certain sounds lo-fi.

"where have I been lately?"- I have been having fun,yes man having with my songs.This is a very old song I wrote long time ago I wasn't really please with the out come of this song so i just put it aside then I played it the other day and said to myself why not upload this song on my site so that others can hear. You know some songs you'll like and some you wouln'd like, Anyway thanks for your input.

Sounds like that tape is shredding - better convert everything to CD asap then clean your tape heads.....

I think this is a good pop song Irwin - and you have great vocals... You should consider re-recording this with today's technology...I'm sure it would be a big success!

Cool tune, I agree with the fellow home recorders above about the 80s sound and possible improvements. I'd also recommend more of an intro. It just starts so sudden and with the volume it freaked me out. Horns are a good idea. The "You're the best" could use some backup vocals in there, maybe even have the "You're the best" backups continuing as the lead moves on. Definitely some potential here ;)
