New Tunes "Secret" and "Whore"

hey,

whore is a pretty nice tune.

I liked the vocal, even though I was not feeling the slight flange?? on it. Or was the flange on the reverb?

I am not really hearing enough kick. On the other hand, the lead and the background harmonies are beautiful.

THe snare, and bass are fine. I think that the rhythm could be less busy to create more space for the kick and the lead vox.

good job.
 
Listening to Secret.... Might be the file quality, but the cleaner rythym guitar is overwhelming the vocals in spots. Maybe the vocal just needs to come up a little more, can't understand most of the words, but what I hear of it sounds good. Good voice for the song.

I like it, especially towards the end where it comes in and seems to get more intense after that interlude type section. Cool song.

I went to your site to download a tune but none of them are downloadable. Since I have a dial-up connection, it wouldn't be fair to your music to listen to a stream, so I guess I won't be listening to any of it. Sorry!

great song (secret) but for some reason its quite distorted thru my rig and someone mentioned to bring the vox up a tad and i agree, cheers GAG

All comments are appreciated. It'll help on the mastering. Some things are obvious. Listening to some of their tunes over and over and over...you get tired of it...So I decided to poke the tunes out there and see what everyone thinks...
Some tunes I may have them do over because I thought that the guitar was too distorted.

I am producing this lp for Slow Joe Crow and they already had the idea for the cover. When they met her they almost immediately asked if she would do the cover.Of course you see why. She got all of her good looks from her Dad!:D :p

Uggfff...excuse me whilst I pry my foot out of my mouth. Glad you took it as a complement. Has she done any modeling other than the album cover? She has a very unique look:cool:

BTW Good music. Judging by your website looks like you guys have lots of fun in the studio.

No offense taken. I have encouraged her to do some modeling...You know how that shit goes...She is busy working and college...
Recording in the studio is always fun. I try and make the people I record feel at home. Relaxed artists alway play better. So I keep them laughing with some goofy anitics of mine.
The drummer Joe is a funkin' trip so I stayed on his ass. I imitate him to a T. Did you check out the Joe Bitchin' track? He was complaining because he couldn't hear his reference through his cans. After I turned him up for about the 3rd take.He bitched again. Thats when I went a little too far on the volume...I kept the pc rollin'...Its just an outtake, pokin' fun at the drummer boy...
It won't be on the cd.:p
