NEW TUNE...Mellow one,is it good???????

Hey guys i thought i would mix it up and do a really mellow tune. Well for me it's mellow. Is it really lame....is it really good? Let me know what you think. I played all the stuff on it...Thanks in advance.

sounds pretty good. The drums, bass, and guitar were clean. The strings added a nice touch. I`d like to have heard them more in the background all the way across the the field a little more. I couldnt make out a lot of the words in the vocal. Maybe bring it up some more or articulate a little sharper, thats if you want the message in the vocal more discernable. Big, simple, nicely packaged tune man.

First off, you're using the strings as a "pad" which is simply a filler sound to fill the gaps. They need to be "just audible" otherwise like in this song, they stand out too much. UNLESS ofcourse you're using them as a lead, which in this song you are not.

Back to the tuneage, I like the "overall sound". Decent use of dynamics. Cool thick guitar chords. Vocals ofcourse as you know need to be louder, upfront and ofcourse you should sing the words with more energy, you sound kind of sloppy or tired.

But you did all this in one afternoon, if you're looking for a comment like "it's worth putting more into" than yes, ofcourse it is. I think the drums for this tune could use a little verb on them to make them sound more "rock ballad" like.

Not bad at all, I'd like to hear it again as the song matures.
