Thanks Doc! I had to read your post a couple times before I understood exactly what you meant, so I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier. Yeah, although the ending is totally without any real decision making, I did want there to be moments of dynamic diversity...or at least as much as I could pull off. I particularly wanted the last verse to be more subtle and that's why I practically whispered. When the chorus doubles up at the end I wanted the whole world to come at the listener at once. I may have overdone it, but that's okay. Thanks for the listen!
Thanks Langley! I'm very self conscious about my voice. I really don't like it. I struggle to get anything on tape (disc) that I'm happy with. I just want more power and growl out of my pipes...but I it never happens. Thanks for taking the time to listen. I appreciate your comments!
Thanks for listening Gidge, glad you liked it.
Jitteringjim is back! Hey man, what have you been up to? Any new music? Damn, I want new tunes, so quit replying to my stuff and get recording! Seriously, thanks for the listen, I appreciate the comments. I have a real problem knwing just what to do with verb and stuff on my vocals. Dry they just sound weak, so I color them up. Probably too much. It's mostly insecurity. I probably shouldn't use insecurity as a factor in my mixes, but I do. Sometimes I'm aware of it and overcompensate by having the vocals sit too high in the mix. I guess that's why you should have another set of ears on mixdown, eh? Now get back to the studio damn it. I expect a new tune by this weekend!
Thanks for the replies!
