Is it a musical composition.. or an excuse to stuff as many instruments as posible into 3 minutes - you decide!

Was going to do a little blues instrumental, but started getting caried away with vst instruments. Lead instruments include: my Strat through Amplitude, Native Instruments B4 organ, Native Instruments Pro-53 synth, Kontakt with 2 samples from the Vintage Time Traveller CD. Other 2 guitars and bass all through Amplitude. Also hear Edirol Orchestra, drums are Battery. Bass is real.

Listen for me breaking the high E string on my guitar on the very last note of the lead!

Any comments appreciated.

Production was good, as was the playing.

But it leaves me wondering "what was the 'point'?" Other blues artists have done that same standard 1,000 times... and done it better...

forgot to list the point of the track...

Well, even if some artists have recorded 12 bar blues progressions 1000 times, I've never done it once yet out of the 300 songs I've recorded. Just did it for fun, to try playing blues licks, and thought some people might like hearing a bunch of different vst instruments, and how Amplitube sounds. I guess that's the point, but I admit it wouldn't be immediately apparent listening to the track...

Comments...

36 hits, and only 1 comment, which was negative... tough crowd!

I'll post a different one soon...

I thought it was pretty cool. Nicely mixed. Was that a leslie on the organ? :). Good guitar sound, nice blues licks.

First things first.......the low response has been because the site's been broken and it will be fixed and fast after Sunday. IT's been so hard to post and posts keep getting lost that a lot of us regulars have quit while waiting for the fix.

Second thing....Pinky is a one man crusade for never doing anything that has any element of anything that's gone before. A valid direction I suppose but few of us totally agree with that.

The song.....good blues really. The guitar playing is where you shine. I enjoyed that. When you play organ rides and such you sound very stiff, so I'm assuming guitar is your ax right?

Welcome to the board BTW. I promise you.....once the new server is up and it's fast again; you'll find this place to be an indespensable part of your day.

ROTFLMAO!!

Now wait a sec, I like standards, but only if the artist adds their own touch, not a standard of a standard which is what I heard here.

On a positive note, the play WAS good. I'm not a downer ALL the time, cummon! :p
