I could use some review here as far as overall sound quality (besides the mp3 myspace low quality), the overall mix, and of course artistic merit and performance. What do you think, I always like unbiased opinion. My wife and friends have probably heard this song in process for years, your ears are new.

Song title: Being Alone

No a friend of mine is drumming. He is actually a guitar player and singer/songwriter. But he gets the job done, albeit without any frills.

Don´t trying to be harsh, but there´s some timing/sync issues with the band... Maybe he should hire a real drummer... It would make a huge difference... :)

Yeah that's life in a home studio. I can't say that it's a perfect performance, or that it's even great drumming. But I didn't notice any timing flubs anywhere. Can you point me to where you hear something. I had this song in my headphones for about a week while I was doing the solos and the vocals. It never sounded out of time anywhere.

have to agree with JuliánFernández. I can't point to a particular point in the song where the drummer is way off, but the drummer just isn't ever in the "pocket". Gives the song a very sloppy feel (but maybe that's what you're going for).

In Being Alone, for example... the drummer and the bass player are just not playing the same pocket (nevermind the guitar player). The bassdrum is pretty much all over the place.
IMHO, there´s not pocket on that piece... maybe is just me!

I think it sounds good. But realistically, if I want opinions on sound quality, I don't show people my songs through a cheap cassette player. :D

I think it sounds good though, despite the poor MySpace quality. I don't hear any timing issues really, and the mix seems pretty well-balanced. Nice playing. I like the guitar tones.

It certainly isn't supertight but I don't see any actual timing flubs anywhere. Just sort of overall lazy drum feel. I wish I did have an a real drummer here that night, but I can live with this. I really don't know what you mean as far as the guitar and bass being out of the pocket though, they seem to pretty dead on. Thanks for the assessment, I hear what you're saying. But all in all I think the type of music being played doesn't suffer from the lazy drum feel. It could be played in a more polished way, but it kinda works this way too.
