yea I agree, I like the drum layering and whatnot, it gets my head nodding. i'm interested to hear the rest of it

I agree with him. When u get it done def let us peep it. Glad you takin advice to help step your game up b/c u can only get betta if u want to.

I dunno if anyone else has this experience... But after waking up and listening again.. I'm not really happy with the result... Suggestions are welcome, as I'll prolly be going back to the original 8 bars again tomorrow....

Yeh man happens to me all the time, you know what they say: Your harshest critict is yourself. Definately like the way your going with this one, much better on the kick :D

Thanks. Although, I honestly think I lost some wow on the kick by adding a couple of the things in there (from V1 to V2)...

I had problems supporting the string bass.. So, in a pinch, I tried to layer matching 808 notes over them.. I think I can find a better way...

If I can find the time, I think this song would benefit from playing it on my real bass guitar... I just gotta get the timing tight, so it'll sound funky (ala Bootsy Collins)....
 
Some tracks you know are bangers the moment you make'em, other times you have to let tracks marinate to get the real flavor of it (which you may not like)
