The not fountain head
Made this today... Lemme preface it a lil...

There are a number of firsts, for me, on this track... so beware...

Firsts:

I miked my guitar amp on a song... Used my ECM8000 measurement microphone

I miked my bass amp on a song... Used my ECM8000 measurement microphone

Used my new bass on a song/played bass on a song...

Used Redrum to trigger slices of me playing guitar (chopped with ReCycle)...

There are a few more... those are the main ones..

No "samples" in this song... (other than those I created)....

------------

The bass part was an afterthought... I freestyled it.. I used the first take.. (no loops on the bass!)

Thanks!!!!

This is pretty cool sounding man. Bring the bass up a little. It sounds cool, but needs to be louder. Nice beat man. I need to edit this...bass is actually loud enough. At least the real boom is. Never mind the first part of this. Nice sounds.

I thought the same thing, about the bass, myself.. I figured it was just my weak monitors... So....

Will do.. Thanks for the feedback!

Pretty sweet man!!

I agree, bass is cool and needs to come up a little. Are you going to put vox in that? I think it would be could to do a Cake type song.

Thanks .... Prolly not my vox, but hopefully somebody's... Not too familiar with cake...

Thanks again

Yo Yiddy Peritus!!!....having a listen. I listened 6 times!! :D

The snare seems a bit too upfront in the beginning of tune...you might try bringing up the guitar and add some thick toned lead to it...I like the bass.

As your song progresses it starts balancing out in the snare more, and sounds excellent. I dig the beat....the guitar gets lost in here though...unless maybe you wanted it to...

I like your foundation....and I am not one too swift at these things...so you should most likely disregard anything I have to say....it may be the red-beer talking!!

Thanks!

I thought about it a lil more.. I think the frequency level of the bass is so low that people perceive it as quiet.. I would retrack it .. But I kinda like the random way it is.... Plus it bumps my car stereo.. and I don't even have a sub.. woohooo!

I really feeling . especially considering you micing up amps and whatnot. keep banging em out
