Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the forum (or any home recording forum for that matter) and new to home recording as well. I've been playing guitar for around six years now, and recording for one. I mainly joined for an opportunity to meet others who were either experienced and could give me pointers, or to meet those like me who need some help. I didn't see an introduction thread, so I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong place. If so, please redirect me.

If you want, I can give you a rundown of my current studio set-up. I know I'm always interested in seeing what other people are using as their medium of expression.

Thank you for the welcome. I recently purchased a Roland VS-1680 with a VS8F-2 installed practically brand new for $250 and I've done an excellent job of comprehending the cheeky bastard. Are there any users on here who have used this model?
 
Yo Lions! Welcome to the board. The VS1680 I've never used, but I have extensive experience with VS1824, which is *very* similar. You'll find a lot of support on VSPlanet.com, now under new management.-Richie
 
I too have never used the 1680, but have lots of experience with the VS2400, and ditto Richard's suggestion about VSPlanet.com
