they sound real nice..but their to short..really can get into the flow..if you want to keep it short...keep it to about 1:30 that will give the artist a good feel of the track..IMO

yeah, man these are some hot beats, like mentioned above they are too short to get a good feel of. that was some good advice by bknot.

yo, i just want to let everyone know that i checked these cats site out and they seem to have thier stuff together. they are even giving away a free refill loop kit to download.

this is for Beatsbuy, you say that some of the music your company is sponsoring on the site will be played on MTV? man, that's a pretty strong network you all have. do you all sponsor other producers?

the hip hop section seems to have some nice beats, although the producer seems to be using a lot of the sounds that scott storch is dominating, i am still feeling them. if you are a producer as well as a promoter of beatsbuy.com and since this is a learning forum also, would you mind sharing with us your gear list and your opinion on the best place to go for nice sample discs?

thanks...and i was thinking the same thing about if they sponsored others..

Thanks!

Thanks to all the positive input! We are trying to get all the hot producers together that just aren't heard. Ther's a lot of talent out there, but it's hard to get a production deal with major labels.

We will post more free downloads on the site soon. So, check for updates or sign up for the free newsletter and we'll update you.

We've added some full remix songs on soundclick also. thanks for the heads up on the music being too short.

KEEP GRINDING and producing!

We mostly we use Reason 3.0. There mastering plugin is great! Gives that finished puch that we look for. For sounds, we sample and layer a lot. For example, we will layer 4 claps to make the right clap we are looking for. And the same for the kicks... The best way to go is make your own samples, because it gives you a different sound.

LAYER YOUR SOUNDS. THAT's THE KEY!

For vocals we use Pro Tools. We like it becuse it's so easy to us Reason and Pro Tools together using rewire.

Also, if you want sounds, search ebay. They have some nice sample CDs. But, know what you're buying, because you can always get that CD that sounds like crap...

He hit the nail on the head with that one...that's how you can make the factory sound bank sound good. I never layered 4 claps to make one...I've done 2 and 3 before and gave one of them presence over the others for added punch.

Also, we are setting up a beat battle contest. Ending on Jan. 15th 2006. We'll giveaway prizes. We'll keep you guys updated. Just giving back to the producer community!

Ya, I heard Dr. Dre layers sounds like crazy. He'll go into Pto Tools, layer claps and export it as a stereo file to use. Or something like that. You can do this in Reason too. Just make a session where you layer claps and so on...

I layer sounds a lot especially if I want something that sounds like a mix between instruments (or want to give it a thicker feel).

True

i find that the best sounds in music are always layered at least three times over, besides i know we all heard a bass drum or a snare on a well produced album cut and said "damn i wish i had that sound right there"

i bought your soundkit, it's really nice and the price is really reasonable.
