You're makin' me misty, TripleM. Real men don't get misty! Thank you for making my day.

fantastic!!

Impressive!! Man you can sing!! great song. Put some live drums on that cut and you got yourself a Money maker. The world needs some better love songs. The world needs this song.

Got a tear in my eye....

Beautiul song man.Had me singing a high harmony to every line within seconds.Good stuff.

I listened to this the day you posted it and haven't had a chance to get back on it.

This is some serious commercial appeal here!!!
A nice, simple arrangement with all the patented hooks and chorus to sell a million!

At first I thought there was too much reverb on the vox but as I listened it really fit the tune well and I realized I was wrong.

Some day I'll be telling my kids I knew Buffalo Bob ............................. er..ugh...kinda knew him!

Great Job worthy of a full compliment of stars!

Great job on vocals. not really my style of music. The piano could be a bit louder. The synth overpowers it. The accompaniment (sp?) sounds like it could be canned ---which isn't necessarily a bad thing. You are showcasing a song and voice not technical skill.---That doesn't sound quite right. I mean the song is not about showing off your abilities to play an instrument. The instruments are there to support the song, not vice versa. Hope that makes sense

Thank you all. I know that the recording quality on this is substandard, but I have a very limited setup (4-track!). Nevertheless, I am pitching this one to publishers this week - hopefully if anyone shows interest, I'll have it re-demoed in a pro studio.
Please say a little prayer for us- we're jumping into the deep end!:D

nice vox there bob. good tune too! maybe get more depth in the drums and a tad less on the voice and add a little vocal harmony as stated before. now if i may add that if i ever get as smitten with a woman again as you most certianly are with your obviously, very lucky wife, please hide the razor blades from me because i may slit my wrists. I WILL NEVER GET MY HEART BROKE AGAIN! or the alternate name for a new song for me could be...IF I EVER FIND A GOOD WOMAN. hmmmmm... i think i'm on to something! thanks for the insperation bob!

I saw this somewhere else........

and thought I would bump it up here......

nice tunage man......excellent vox...........

Good luck with the Pubs....

There is so much good music floating around here that it amazes me that songs like this don't get picked up more often...............ya know?

An update -

I'm freakin' out! There is a major producer in Nashville who is interested in this song! I just sent it out last Friday. NOW what the hell do I do? I wasn't prepared for this. It was mostly the response and encouragement I received on this site that prompted me to pitch this, so I am in your debt.
Are you guys praying? Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D

Hey Bob........

Take a deep breathe...............

relax..............

go with the flow..............

ok....relaxed???

just don't puke on your shoes during your meeting...... :D

Good luck man...let us know how it goes...

Joe

:D :D :D

Congratulations Bob !!!!!

Even getting interest is a HUGE step in the right direction!!
(And about 3 miles ahead of me !)

Please keep us in the loop here !! ;)

Congrats on the interest man!

This is a great track, despite the terrible sounding drums ;)

Awesome vocal track. I've had my eye on the c-1 and c-3 and still deciding between the two. Your fantastic voice really shines through nicely here.

I'm going to tell my girlfriend this is something I've been working on for her. Whatever it takes dude! :D

Congrats, BOB! :D Just be yourself... assuming this producer guy even wears pants, he puts 'em on one leg at a time ;)

Good luck ;)

A couple of words:

1. KICK;
2. ASS!!

Man, you can sing! You and Crawdad should get together and just sing on something! I think you two have some of the best vocals on this board!

I really liked this. The recording sounded good to these ears. I didn't really care for the drum sound very much, but this is subjective..so it doesn't mean too much :)

The vocals is what sells this song. Very, very nice!

:) I give this five stars!

And a producer interested to boot! Congrats, my friend! When you get rich and famous, don't forget your buds here on the board!

Best of luck to you!

I can definitely hear the commercial appeal here. This could easily be some sort of theme song, movie, ad even. Nice work. Hope it pays off. Keep us updated.

Nice singing also. The background music is ok for the purpose of supporting your outstanding vocals.

I wanna know more about what you did to the vocals? EQ, Reverb, entire vocal chain. If this is straight into your board from the C1, that thing is really adding some air to your singing.

Thanks guys! We are really grateful for all your support. We've been a performing duo for 25 years, but this Nashville thing is a different trip entirely. It's very exciting, though. We were gettin pretty bored!
As for gear, I'm very limited. The signal chain was the C1 through a Dbx 286 Pre, into an input channel on my little MD4. Light compression on the Dbx, also used the gate to cut everything but the vocal. EQ- just a small cut on the bottom. This mic doesn't need any EQ! Rev-cheapy Yamaha Rev-100, that I invariably overuse.:D
It would be difficult to cut a bad vocal track with the C1. It even kills on a guitar cabinet! This is a desert island mic for sure.
