a right spacey instrumental from new album: "Pali Face"

This, is a guitar instrumental, inspired by the song 'lost dream' from the new bats brew album "The Wild Animals".
i'm having fun with my Barber Exacta fuzz, that's for sure!

Pali Face, is the name of a ski run at the steepest, widest part of Pali, which is at Arapahoe Basin, in colorado.
it can be spooky, scarey, exhilarating.
this song is in memory of my friend Jim Roberts (RIP).

I think I hear a Pink Floyd/Robin Trower type of derivative going on - except for the lead part - I can't place it - what were you listening to right before you wrote this?

Listening now....sinister sounding, that's what I like... killer wah tone. I get the trower comparison....like a more ominous and foreboding Bridge of Sighs. It's a strong and evocative instrumental, nice one

yea, i had to think hard about the timing of this,
i wrote it a very long time ago...

i'm pretty sure, i was listening to dream theatre's "Peruvian Skies" a lot at that time.
so, i may have knicked a piece of that in some way.

would not have been listening to either floyd or trower, tho i AM a life ong fan of both of them,
but was into a different thing at the time of the writing of Pali Face.

Pali Face came first,
then "Lost Dream"
