New song with only a little bit of plagarism!

Homo Deprecatus - Today

So this song is inspired and influenced by Today by the Smashing Pumpkins. As such, I tried to layer in as many guitars as I could. I aimed for 40 but only hit about a dozen.

So does it sound good or just muddy?

There is a little mud. Believe it or not, I cleaned it up a bit with old Windoze media player by doing a reverse smile eq on it...

But I like your singing... I wish I could pull that off. I may post another song in here just to get beat up some more....

Could you give more details on what exactly a "reverse smile eq" is? I've never heard the term. Is it just turning down the low and high ends of the spectrum and turning up the mids?

Pretty cool. I actually really like the guitar sound and would not have guessed there were so many layers had you not mentioned it. I am not familiar with the original song and wonder how closely this follows it. The numerous subtle variations with the guitar tracks give it an odd undulating sort of sound that I like.

I dig your lo-fi type production. I really like your voice. This isn't the first song I've checked out of yours, but I think it's my favorite so far. Personally, I wish you would have chopped off the beginning nod to the Pumpkins, as I think your song stands well by itself. Cool lyrics too.
