new song - What Do I Know? (what you think of it?)

hello again.
this is a song called What Do I Know. once again recorded using my fostex mr-8 and mixed and mastered with audition.
this time, i have added some drum beats using a zoom drum machine, and a bass pattern using the same zoom machine. what do you think?
i am kinda happy with it. would be interesting to know where i can improve.

Hey...you might want to double check your link...when I click on it it takes me to a login page (which is okay since I use soundclick also), but when I login I am taken to my own administrative page (not to your song).

When I create a link I go to the web page (within soundclick) with the song on it (where you can click on, next to the song name, play "lo-fi", play "hi-fi", and "download" mp3) and I hightlight and copy the address that is showing at the top of the page, and then paste that into my post here (on homerecording.com)

Hope this is some help.
 
I'm impressed with your recording...I've listened to it a few times...on the first listen your vocal made me think of Bob Dylan (in a good way, I mean the vocal is in tune and sounds good to me)...also I get an overall mid-sixties vibe from your song (maybe it's the delay effect) which has an appeal to me. I'm not sure I would change anything as far as the mix, nothing sticks out to me as an obvious negitive.
 
thanks for the feedback. my wife thought it sounded kinda 60's too. weird, cos i dont listen to a lot of music from that period!!

Cool man, actually the beginning made me think of Nivana, I don't remember what tune because it has been many years since listening to them. Has that classic rock sound, good work.
 
pretty awesome especially for 8 tracks. the low kick makes me think 6o's too!! the into is very nirvana 'about a girl' but the song isnt.
 
thanks for the kind words. when i listened back to it, i also thought the intro was reminiscent of nirvana's like a girl. its just one of those chord progressions i guess. been done a thousand times. what song hasn't??..lol.
anyways, hopefully i'll post some more songs soon.
i love this site, very supoportive and informative.
