New song; see if I did better...

Well, I didn't have a chance to listen to any of your other stuff, so I don't know if you did better, but.....

The guitar tone needs some serious work IMO. It sounds like it was recorded direct and you added plug-in distortion or you recorded direct from a stomp box. Anyhow, it is very thin and tinny sounding. The bass is OK, but could be a little rounder and fuller. The drum (looped I assume) are alright at the beginning, although the tom samples are a little weird. That thumpy bass drum that comes in for the 'chorus' is pretty distracting and sounds kinda out of place for this genre. I do like the weird fill at the end. The vocals aren't too bad, except the singer stumbles a couple times and they are pretty repetetive.

Keep it up.

Well the guitar tone is still in need of some serious work.
It's recorded direct with a stomp box. (or atleast souns like it)
I actually liked the earlier guitar sounds better, but they are both tinny and scratchy. It could be cool for a effect, but as a main guitar tone it just doesn't cut it.
The bass is OK.
The vocals are pretty much the same as the earlier songs.
So my earlier comments on this stands.
And most of it is still in the center.
The drums have some streo FX, but the guitars that are the main things in this type of music and give the power to it are in the center and thin and powerless.
There are some changes, but not enough to do a big difference.

IMHO anyway,

Thanx

I appreciate everyone's input on these songs, this is our first try at this, so

Thanx,

Hey plummet,

Just listened to your song and have a couple questions. What are you using for recording? And is it just you or did you record live?
Looping software or machine? Which vocal mic?
The song is idea is good, but to me it sounds like the whole thing was recorded in a tin can. Not meant to be harsh, but it sounds a lot like my early recordings when I used a tascam 4 track machine. The vocals sound the best out of the song, and like the others are saying on the guitar, it sounds like a guitar>stompbox>toyour recorder. A suggestion would be to get a Pod or J-station, you wont believe how good they sound for recording. The song overall needs more bottom to it, to give it more kick.
If you want you can check out one of my latest recordings. It was done with a Pod. www.mp3.com/sondriven "never knew"
Keep up the work, I like your ideas.
