Hey everybody. Here's a new mix for a local hardcore band. I just got done messing around with it and I'm tired so I thought I'd post it up and see what people have to say about it tomorrow morning.

The toms sound like ass. Maybe someone can help me out so they don't sound like cardboard.

Anyway, enjoy.

like the song but here are my suggestions.

1. lower the toms tracks. (they are a little to loud) cut out some of the mid frequencies on the tom tracks.

2. raise both the kick and especially the snare.


overall, I love the guitars and vocals. The drums are a bit weak.

Bounce the drum tracks to a stereo track and add a shitload of compression to it. After it sounds very muffled and distorted, mix that with the original drum tracks for extra punch attack and presence.

when I refer to mix, I mean with the fader, ride the fader to get a good mix.

I dunno what to do about the toms...I would try to get some more click in the kick track though. Guitars sound just a little bit fizzy.
