you were close man, what you are hearing there is the delay of that line, but not what I was refering too. Go to 2:30-2:32. You will hear a very faint background vocal ("he'll be saying") It was just for kicks, and I liked it. I would like to do more to it in time like that.

Thanks a lot man it means a lot. I agree, I would like to throw a Bass in there as of now the Cello is carrying that weight as best it can. This weekend I was practicing with my other band ("Ruxpin") which is much heavier and electric, (I get to play bass

and the singer/guitarist started playing this on his electric and then the drummer started going to town it was totally power ballad time, and funny enough it sounded pretty awsome, except it was about 10 years too late

However if Warrant starts to make a come back I will shoot them an email

Heck maybe "Darkness" will do it

I know what you mean, not too traditional. The reason it was set up that way is because it was subbing in for my bass on this song, so I stuck it in the track down the middle. it felt out of balance when I tried other ways, however with a few added instruments I could shift some stuff around in the future.

The signal chain wasn't actually that hot once I got past the U-95. It went into the Control 24 pre's (cheap focusrite type, comparable to the platinum AKA cheapo), and then into the Pro Tools HD system. So I guess the only real weak link was the pre's. I want to go back in with my OSA pre's and try some more stuff out and really do some shoot outs. I just picked up a AT 4047 which I am excited to try out. This summer I hope to get a U-195 or maybe a TLM-103 and I will be able to really try some fun stuff out. The U-95 definatly adds a bunch of depth, I liked it a lot. and it actually was less prone to sybilance than a lot of mics I have tried.
Thanks to all for the all of the comments, I have really enjoyed them, and am planning to apply them to when I redo some of these recordings, and also when I write new stuff.
