new problem with delta - used to work

my delta and motu 2408 used to work when i left for the summer. i took my delta home with me to england and used it there in my parents' computer. i came back and tried to reinstall it, and it will playback for about 4 seconds, and then stall the system. any ideas?
 
i have a motu 2408 and a delta card. They worked in perfect unison when i left on may 15th from my apt. to go back home for the summer. i took my delta with me so i could use it this summer at my parents' place. When i came home, i tried to reinstall the delta card with the motu still in the computer. That worked for a second during playback in winamp, vegas, or sound forge. i uninstalled the delta, took out the delta, uninstalled the motu and took the card out. i still haven't put the motu back in. so now i have no sound. I put the delta back in and reinstall the drivers. If i do sound playback in anything it will hang the system after playing sound from anywhere between 1 and 20 seconds. can that be a buffer problem or something? its al set to default likei've always done in this system.
 
I'm not positive what the problem is but did you DeFrag and ScanDisk your computer yet?

It might help.
 
tried this

win2k and i was using the newest drivers. i finally went back to the old drivers from march or so. thats when i downloaded the prebious set. it has worked since then except for once it has hanged in the same style as to when i was using the most recent drivers.
