Some of you might have already heard this tune a while ago. But I'm re-doing my tunes one at a time with my new pre-amp. I kept the drum and bass tracks and re-did the guitars and vocals......

I already hear a few things in the mix that I must fix.Comments, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated.

The song should play right away, but if you want better than streaming quality, turn off the site-wide player in the bottom left hand corner and go to the music page to download. Thanx.

(take a look around the site and visit the forum or leave me a message in my guest book)

DIRTY WATER

Rami...no suggestions, as it sounds very good to me. Nice layering, and lots of space for everything. What more can I say? I'm jealous.... :p

Sounds great Rami.

Your just improving more and more over this short time I`ve been listening to you. your just like good wine :D

But seriously the guitars sound better than ever before, they sound exelent, as is your playing.

Your singing is also extremely well done, I also think I hear improvement on that field.

You know I`ve allways digged your stuff, and it was never bad before.
Its just better now

Its easy to notice that the new pre is doing things for you, great sounding stuff man.

I`m trying hard to get on the horse again recording wise, but this is demoralizing :D :D :p

great job man.

Thanx guys...I really appreciate those words from both of you.

I'm instituting a new rule. You can't comment on my song unless you post in my forum or guest book!!
(joking, but please do)

I posted in your forum so I'm commenting LOL :D

Yep - that pre is sounding good - smooth.......

The guitars sound nice too - I like the overdrive/distortion/sustain I'm hearing.

Again great work - no problems...

I enjoy browsing your web pages with the background music streaming - nice touch.

:D

Thanx Ido....Nice to have you a part of my site.

By the way, that site is costing me 15 bux a month and I could have put it together with my eyes closed. I'm not that computer savvy, but it they make it so easy, and I have total control everything. You guys should think about having your own site. Llarion told me long ago, but I hesitated for the longest time becasue I thought I'd never be able to put a site together. It was so easy.

song sounds fantastic, I couldn't fault it even if I wanted to :)

how did you get the effect on the vocals about midway into the song, it sounds almost synthesized?

Thanks for the listen, definitely my kinda music.

Thanx a lot for taking the time to listen, Rob.

I think you're talking about that over the top scream? I just basically drowned it in as much reverb as possible. A really long reverb. I'm not sure, but I think I hear some digital distortion in there...hehe...I really cranked it.

Tres Bonn X 37
As per usual
You have a new PRE deliction I see.

Great song Rami. The guitars sound a little too compressed for my taste though. I'd like to hear them opened up some with a bit more air.

Thanx guys...I appreciate the comments. NYMorningstar, I'm not sure what to do about that. I put absolutely no compression on guitars. I never compress distorted guitars, they create their own compession. But you obviously did hear something, so I will take a good listen. They might be too distant or maybe not enough high's....thanx alot.

I wasn't saying it was applied after you tracked it. It's probably an accurate representation of the sound coming from the amp. Some amps have limiters built right into the gain staging or more likeliy it's an effects pedal of something I'm hearing. It just seems to me that it could be a bit brighter.

I see. I wasn't aware of that. Thanx. So since I didn't add any copression, is this something I'm stuck with as part of my sound? Or is it about mic placement, etc? Thanx for lending your ears, NY.

Sweet! Excellent sounds all around on a RAMI classic... guitars are wildly sounding good :D Great song.

(This post is made possible by my recent registration to the RAMIRAMI board ;) )

It'd be hard for me to say if you stuck with it cause frankly, I don't know. It may be mic choice more than placement but I'd guess that it's your guitar and amp rig more than anything else. Maybe a change in your settings would do it. It sure would sound nice with a strat through a 50 watt Marshall tube head.

If you take a listen to 'The wind cries Mary', you'll hear the difference. Hendrix has nice clean crisp top end, which you're lacking and that's what I'm thinking this song calls for. Your guitar is sounding mostly mid range and sometimes muddy from the distortion except for that little lick immediately prior to the verse, that sounds sweet. Don't get me wrong, I like what I'm hearing but would just like to hear a little more.

Cool man, I appreciate that. Yes, a Strat through a Marshall...or maybe a Twin for that semi-distorted intro? Anyway, thanx for the advice. I'll see if I can add high's without ruining the sound, but this helps me for future guitar tracks.

Great tune. Mix sounds pro from where I'm at. Just some great rock brutha! I'm logged in, and signed your guest book.
