To be brutal I think one or two of the cheesier synth sounds get in the way of a very interesting composition. Esp the really cheesie chords at the beginning - too of their time & weighed down by associations.
This has many of the hallmarks of Schoenberg era Atonalism. Music that stands the test of time It challenged then & continues to do so now DESPITE it being reduced to using horror soundtracks as the only form of distribution.
I have a very small Casio from about 83 that has most of those sounds - some of which I still use.
