Alright Mr Brandon Bartee, I'm giving this toon a listen on cans cause it's too late to crank up the nearfields. This is a decent mix, dude! Not bad at all. Only thing that I would change is the it seems the leads are a bit loud in places, but I think that's just a matter of personal taste.

Good Job, Man!

PS;

It's hard to believe the quality of the music coming off these lil Red Boxes. :)

Damn decent tune man. I will agree that the lead is a little too much "on top" of the mix. Overall very good job.

Thanks guys....after listening to that for so long everyt mix I make starts sounding the same. It's great to have feedback from a fresh pair of ears. I'll sqeeze the lead down when I re take the vox.

Somewhere along the line my media player will not play tunes off of nowhere radio anymore. This is at work and the firewall will not allow real player at all. In media player it says that the path is not correct??? Can anyone help? I can't listen to any of you guy's music anymore.

Bigsnake00,

Your song is nicely done. To me everything's pretty much in balance, and I did not hear any particularly loud leads; perhaps I'm hearing a remixed version already?

If you redo the vocals and do a remix, please post it so I can give it another listen.

Download it. Also, I think Winamp works best.

upload a version that i can download. i don't want to stream it.

Nice job Bigsnake. What I like about this track is that it had a nice live feel to it. I almost felt like I was listening to it in a club, there was none of the mechanical character so prevalent in many recordings. To my ears, the lead level sounded ok. I think that the overall balance of the track will improve once the proper vocal is added. Good job.

hey.... good song man, really liked it. Nice sound on the
accoustic guitar nice and clean. I also LOVED the sound of the
cymbals and the hi-hat, the hi-hat has a nice decay to it and is
not too forward in the mix, thats more too my liking.
The snare sounded a little boxy and the kick drum dosn't
seem to be loud enough. the vocals can probably come up
just a bit too, but GOOD song man I really liked it.

Nice job Brandon!
Strong song with good hooks. I caught myself humming it after the fact. I love the 16th note guitar staccato/ stoptime . Very warm and personal live ambiance... like morindae, I too felt like I was in a club.
The bottom end could use a tad more definition. I like these vocals... your flu doesn't seem to get in the way , but then again , I've not heard you previously. If you keep these , just juice 'em a couple of db.
Looking forward to the final mix.

Thanks again guys for the positive feedback. I'm outta town till friday so I've got some time to think this through. as far as my drum tracks go ive got one thats pretty much the whole kit and one that is just the bass drum. I saw where branded said my snare was boxy...any ideas on how I could fix this? As far as the whole mix Ive yet to put any eq on it just a little compression. Any feedback is much needed since Im so new at this.

Post this in the mp3 mixing clinic. You'd get more responses, and I think good ones, this thing rocks. I dl'd it and I LISTEN to this one.
