i like it. i agree with just getting rid of the guitar. it's out of tune and not really needed.

whoa, that piano needs some tuning too. listen to the last chord.

the song is interesting and the singer is very good, but she needs something to get her voice to cut through just a little better. something to give it just a tad more presence.

SLuiCe Well you have once again touched on one of our many problems. It's probably not the compression, but I will double check the threshold. I believe what you and Eric are hearing is the limitation of the dynamic mic. It lacks presence. We probably will get a new mic when our finances are a little more secure. :)

erichenryus Dropping the guitar may be the ticket. I have thought of that. It certainly would be easier than re-tracking. :) The piano is out of tune  I hope not considering it is not real. :) Maybe she missed the chord a little. See my response to SLuiCe regarding the lack of presence. :(

Thanks guys for your continued input.

edit - the more I think about, I probably don't want to dump the guitar because it really carries the swing type rhythm. The rhythm started with the guitar.

Skids,

What can I say ?

The lead vocals are world class, the back vocals are very moving.

The song is GREAT !

I love the acoustic in the beginning, but it tends to get a little to bright.

Downloading and dropping 5 stars for the sheer beauty and emotion of this super song and super vocals.

BRAVO !
