i am wanting to get a mic for vocals and acoustic guitari am thinking about gettin a akg c3000b or a adk a-51 what is better suited for my needs any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks..............

Something that would be good for vocals and/or accoustic guitar . . . the one that comes to mind would be the Audio Technica 4033. It's not sold any more, but I'm sure you can find one easily on ebay if you're in to the ebay thing.

Otherwise, you should probably understand that what sounds best on acc. guitar won't necessarily sound best on the human voice and vice versa. A better setup might be a small-diaphragm condenser for acc. guitar (Oktava mc012 ?), and a Large-diaphragm condenser for vocals (whatever sounds good on your voice and fits your price range).

For the price of a C3000B, you could get a Studio Projects B-1 and C-1, and have a better acoustic guitar mic, and a main vocal mic, both more useful than a C3000B. In my experience, the AKG C2000B is a more useful mic than the C3000B, and would be surprisingly effective for less money. The 2000B is an excellent mic for a lot of things, including some singers. I'd consider a 2000B and a Marshall MXL V67B for 2 different options, or the Studio Projects pair above. Either pair is the price of a 3000B, and a more usable versatile combo. Best of luck.-Richie
