New mic with fuzzy background noise?

Hello there, i just bought a new mic headset today for 35 dollars...Suppose to be a ulitmate gaming head set or something Quote "Engineard by gamers for gamers" unquote. So well i got it all set up plugged into my computer and every thing i set the mic to on and i start recording and i can barley hear me self talking so i put the DB up to max at 40 and yes i also tried 20, 20 is medium hearing but when i have it on 40 i can perfectly hear my self outloud.

So...

when i play back my saved recordings there are a huge fuzzing noise in the back ground...

Can any one help me with this proplem, whats wrong and how can i fix it?

PS: it still does the fuzzing on 20 and 40 DB and i can't even hear my self on Zero DB and when i turn the volume up super loud cause of custome speakers i can still hear a fuzzing noise.

what are you trying to use this for? Recording vocals? If so then it sounds like you got exactly what a $35 headset is going to give you. Nothing.

yea im trying to record vocals...and why would it give me nothing...

A headset for gaming is just that, for gaming. If you want to record vocals look into getting a mic that's suited just for that. Or if you want to record something like a podcast speech there's mics that will work for that too. Those gaming headsets are good for talking to people over the net when playing games and nothing more.

So i cant use sound recorder with out getting fuzz?

and im pretty sure when my cousin was useing his, he has the same exact headset that i have and im pretty sure he wasent getting this fuzz

Well for recording audio in good quality no. Your built in soundcard is made up of about .30 cents worth of componants for beeps. For any good quality audio recording you need a interface whether it be firewire, PCI, or USB, to replace the internal soundcard.

those pages dident help much but so your saying that the built in sound card was made for small windows sounds? But i can here my self crystal clear...theres just a fuzz sound in the back ground...and so i should return this mic and get a USB mic?

Yes any built in soundcard is not going to produce anything anywhere near studio quality. As far as the fuzz in the background if your cousin has the same headset check and see if his is configured a different way then yours? If you want to do any serious audio recording then yes you should return the headset and research the subject a little more. You can get plenty of help and suggestions from the guys around here.
