New mic purchase, Groove Tubes GT55

I just bought one of these for $179. Seems like a pretty good deal. I hope it's as nice a mic as people around here a saying. I only have 1 other LD condensor and it's a MXL 1500. This will no doubt be the best mic I own.


Just thought I'd share that with y'all.
 
Nice dude.

I think you will be very happy with the Groove Tubes.

I still continue to be impressed with my MD1b's and they are the best overall mics I own.

Just outta curiousity.... where did ya find it for $179???

I just saw the GT55 on sale at Guitar Center, so I was wondering how it compares to other mics.

Has anyone tried the GT55 out yet? I am very curious how it sounds like!
 
HD ....

I believe the GT-55 has the -10dB pad and bass roll off and the 1b is just a straight up cardiod with no switching.

I'm tracking a band right now so as soon as it gets here I'll be in use. Probably for a lot of different jobs.
