Yea, yea I know it will never sound as good as a well mic'ed mesa boogie, marshall, etc tube amp. But it sure gets close enough for a guitar player to have lots of fun. A lot of these clean and medium gain type samples sound tons better than most might expect.

So I'd be inclined to agree with what was said...I know how to tweak my Tele to get pretty mcuh any sound I want...I also notice the way it 'breathes' down to its finish, and the more treble afforded by a maple neck. I do think a modeller sucks alot of this 'character tone' out of the process...I don't want EVERYTHING to sound like an SG through a Plexi Combo.
