the laptop I have put my sights on is the
Asus N82JQ-B1
its got the processor, up to 8g ram
7200 HD, and thinking of eventually placing an SSD in the optical drive bay
eSATA port
Small 14" size for my 'all over the place' life

However, one thing i CANNOT find for the life of me, is what the chipset on the IEEE1394 firewire is.
And i dont know if it will work well with my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24.

And i do not believe there is an Expresscard port

AAAANY help would be much appreciated, the alternative is to get their N53JQ or N61JQ models which do have expresscards for sure

Thanks guys,

Equal quality laptops at nearly equal prices are also Suggestions that i would love to hear.

I may have stooped some people....upon much further research i came to the conclusion that this laptop has niether expresscard or firewire, it was a mistake in the website's description.... I am looking at the Clevo NP8690 now. so if anyone has any info on its firewire chipset PLEASE let me know... thanks guys....
or if you know of another similarly good quality laptop to get the job done well let me know....clevo is a bit heavy. but i dont want anything in the 16" range....
