Hi everyone! Ive been playing around with home recording for several years and I'm excited to join this forum.

My first question: I am using Sony Acid to record and one of my annoyances has been how the vertical time line that progresses across the track will go from left to right and i cant see whats coming until the line is all the way to the right. I would prefer if the line stayed in the middle and the track moved around it (so the line is stationary), how would i set it to do this?
thanks for any input ahead of time.

That's not normally an option. As it would be the equivalent of watching an HD movie while recording. Unadviseable IMO. You can however zoom in and zoom out to put more time between flashes. And maybe use some form of a margin and jump before reaching the borders. I don't know anything about that particular software, but what you've described as happening is typical of most software. What you've describes as wanting, I've never seen outside of some fancy media player-esque screen saver routine. Or tuning software like fmit.
