Hello everyone, not sure if this is the correct forum for this... but I'll do it anyway. Just want to introduce myself. I've recently set-up a power mac at home to use with GarageBand. I know that GB doesn't seem to be very popular around here, but for my needs (I'm basically laying down my ideas as a 1-man band.) I think it'll do just fine.

I'm looking forward to picking up some tips and tricks here!

Welcome aboard, and you don't need to apologize about using Garage Band. It's a great recording program, especially for the money (free).

Welcome to the forum. The software isn't as important as learning how to use it. All recording software does the same basic thing, some just have more or better features than others. Patience and using a program enough to get it to do all it can is what makes good engineers. Learning the art of recording takes a while so sit back, relax and enjoy the experience. Don't hesitate to ask questions, even if they sound dumb, sometimes the obvious is easy to overlook. The guys and gals around here are pretty good at walking you through most things you may not understand.

Don't sweat the app. Every recording app does pretty much the same thing regardless of what the marketing people desperately want you to believe.

GarageBand is a great app and the mac is a great platform. It's just that a lot of us are penile obsessed gear sluts who build our own boxes and that just ain't possible in the Apple Universe.

Welcome aboard. If you aren't hopelessly confused yet, you will be!

Thanks for the welcome everyone... I'm looking forward to pickin your brains and shaing some ideas with you.
