New format for mixing... which one???

I am interested in a different format to mix to. I still use a DAT for mixing
but I want to mix and burn CD's so I can listen to them in the car, give them to friends or maybe send one for mastering etc. I do not want to mix to computer ........I just want to replace my DAT as well as transfer my old DAT mixes. I still mix analog from DA-38's. For my stuff it works just fine!!!! What is the most simple solution????

you can buy dedicated CD player/burners to burn straight to disc with. Some can cost you quite a penny though.
