Just fiinished recording and mixing my new ep and would love some feedback. I did not record the vocals which i am unhappy about as they clip way too much and are over compressed. Am fairly happy with the guitar, any feedback (how to improve my mixing etc) would be much appreciated.
Very good acoustic guitar performance. Voice is Ok to me. Can't get friendly with those percussion sounds you have in the background though. Song seems to drag a little bit to me, it keeps thesame dynamics the whole way thru with little variety. Some bass guitar would do it good.
Hi Joeym, am guessin you mean expect. I feel it is my weakest song and needs some arranging. I know what you mean about the beats, am thinkin of re-recording the beats over the top and mixing that because the originals are played at the same time as guitar. Do you not feel that the vocals are too dry, i feel that in most of them but as soon as i try addin more reverb it gets messy.
I think the vocals could use some eq to remove mids a bit as they same to interfere and add mud but when i try to do this the vocals sound too thin.
Am desperate to get an LDC so i can double vocals and layer the beats on expect but will have to wait
