That doesn't take much in the way of graphics power or, for that matter, CPU power.
I would have thought it does, seeing that Photoshop can take quite some time to load large images and apply processing and effects. Depending on the computer...
I looked it up. It has decent specs. HOWEVER -- Creative makes consumer grade products. I'm not sure that it's the best choice for someone who is serious about creating music. It doesn't appear to have balanced inputs which, for me, would be a deal killer.
I don't create music.
The guy I bought it off was serious about creating music. And he did create music with it. At it's price, you wouldn't expect balanced inputs. The external version has balanced inputs.
I think you'll find it appealed more, at the time, to exclusively electronic musicians, where the music is created solely inside the computer. Yet it does facilitate recording from external sources, if you want to.
I create audio books and use virtual synthesizer plugins to create soundscapes and effects. I sometimes create a little incidental score to add some polish. I don't really consider myself a musician.
Hmmm. What brand is it? Is it a SATA drive, or something else? Win7 should recognize it automatically. Is there driver software available for it (either on a CD supplied with the drive or by downloading from the manufacturer's website?
I don't know because Device Manager won't tell me.
Actually, we tried a few from different brands but no dice. Now you have me stumped. I can't remember if it is a SATA type connection or not. I would have to check inside again to confirm this.
