Any thoughts on this one? https://soundcloud.com/peter-d-jakobsen/heaven

I bought a new guitar yesterday.. plugged it in into protools right away to test some sounds, since I dont have any other gear where I'm at.. After a while it turned out as a kind of tune.

There's probably a lot to adjust on this thing, and I have no vocals in the vers yet.

Nice voice, catchy song .. no tuning probs stand out,too early to give mix critique (you only just started !) bit muggy n have a problem with clarity on some instruments, guitars a bit thin and imo should be further forward but good work and a great start :D

looking forward to hearing the finished track :)

edit:- listening to "Freind" now ... that track kicks ass !!! great feel, hooky,if you do half as well with the new one as this it will rock .. pleasure to listen to ... you got talent :)

Thank you for your nice comment. :) You should know that "Friend" is recorded and mixed by a pro, so I have a hard time nailing that same sound, but thanks though.. glad you liked it. :)

Mixing is not my strong side.. neither do I have drums, base, piano etc where I'm living for the moment. But I will do my best with that guitar sound, widen it and get it to stand more out in the mix, perhaps do some layers.. :D

Oh.. I see the link is not working anymore. I'll post a new in the top post.

Great job! Are you by any chance from Bergen? It has that Bergen vibe to it even though it is original stuff.

Thank you! I'm from far north.. :) But I think I know what you mean.. maybe it's the fender and tamborine (nah just kidding), the sound however was more or less produced in studio (friend), so I want my next release to be something similar but yet more... me. (have no other way to put it) I guess I have evolved a kind of meish style that I want to preserve.
