Cool.....................

But what happens when the power goes out. :D :D

I am not impressed. I would take Rolands synth deal over that. He advertised the piano sound a for a split second, then all it was it shit nylon/electric sounds over some strings.

the godin multiac already exists

Looks likea very nice guitar/synth to me.

Anyone know hat they are going for yet?

I visited their website but it is not there with the rest of the guitars anyway.

I didn't think I would ever need another guitar but I'd make an exception with this one.

faderbug is dead on. Godin has been doing this for years.

Most of us already know that. I almost bought one three years ago but decided on an LG SP90 instead.

What, so nobody else should make a synth guitar?

What if Enzo Ferrari took that kind of view I doubt if he cut into much of Henry Ford's sales though. I've only played a couple Godin's and didn't care for them the quality looks lower that a decent Asian guitar to me. I'd take a Carvin over a Godin.

Thanks for the link Apl, I played it for my wife. What a historical event it was the first time in 35 years she ever told me I should get a new guitar.

Did any one find a price for that yet? I'm hoping for something like $1500 to $2000 for the guitar alone.

That's funny, that's the way I've felt about the couple of Carvins I've played. :D

If you don't like Godins, you are in the extreme minority.

not one that's a dead ringer. i mean that guy from carvin makes it sound like they came up with something completely new and revolutionary!

they didn't.

Agreed. :)

Let's not forget, though, the fellow is trying to sell the "concept" to a bunch of sales reps (I presume), so they can get excited about their new "product."

yeah.

happy happy joy joy.

:D

I am not sure I get it... I have a MiM Roland ready Strat that I run into my GR-33, and it wasn't $1000+ .... is this for people that want a nylon stringed instrument instead of a real guitar with a whammy!! :p

So how much money do you have to spend (besides the price of the guitar) to have the same sounds that guy had?

now that's a good point!!!

The Roland GK-20 with a pickup is about $600 so you could probably get the synth alone for around $400. Also the 13 pin cable will run probably another $50.

In that demo were he is playing Imagine he has to have the strings sequenced. I'm not familar with hardware sequencers but it doesn't look like the unit at the above link has that capability. So I suppose you need a laptop with software or a hardware sequencer also.

Perhaps the more expensive Roland guitar synth has it onboard.
