Hey all. I recently got a Takamine acoustic, so I thought I would do some recording with it. This is one of my first real attempts at recording and curious what you guys think. I've heard some really good tracks on this forum and am sure I'll get some good advice.

thanks guys,

Kick-a$$ playing.

Got that Takamine sound. This sound is the reason people buy Takamines. Or maybe I'm biased.

Don't have any advice. :)

I'm listening from crappy pc-speakers at work..
But still sounds nice!.. That thing has a pretty sound.
The song is a bit touchy-feely for me, but the playing sounds good too.
Nice.

Throw in a 230bpm blastbeat blackmetal-part and I'll be your fan!! :D

yeah, I was thinking of adding some double bass through the whole track.

takamines do sound nice. Thanks for the kind words

Sounds real good, nice song and great playing. Sounds like the guitars were recorded direct, or just the rhythm one was...?

Sounds good either way though.

Very nice playing. Also a nice sounding guitar. It has a nice sustain to it.
I agree - Takamine makes a great product and you made a good investment that you will enjoy for many years.

Can you give us a few deatils on how you recorded this? What effects are you using?

Cool..... :D :) :D :)

certainly. My guitar is an acoustic-electric, so I basically ran from the guitars output through a little marshall combo amp I have. I kept it as clean as possible. I tracked in Acid 4, then edited in Soundforge. A little eq-ing, a touch of chorus, and slight amount of reverb. I used a bright sounding reverb. I panned the tracks very slightly left and right. After which I saved that as one track which I then did a little overall eqing, and added a little more reverb. (I thought it made it fit together as one piece)

thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. I dont really know if I like it more or less before I did a final mix.
