It's just an overhead mic mount. Nothing special. Might even be an arm (and we can't see where it's mounted). Hard to find a studio without one.

You can get a flange from Radio Shack, put a 6" drop on it and attach a 3-section boom if you want the "extremely affordable" version (but if you're going to put a $9,000 mic on it like in the video, I'd get one that's a little more hearty).
