I think Jon X or someone had posted an mp3 and people with Netscape were having problems with "short-wave radio" type sounds or garbled crap.

While I have not had this problem, I thought I'd post what I stumbled across on one of mp3.com's FAQ's:

"I'm using Netscape Navigator and the sound is garbled.

Download and run http://www.free-music.com/gr8/ (uncook.zip). Usually that helps."

I dunno if it works - I have no reason to use it since I'm using IE... but I like helping folks, cuz gosh-darnit, I'm nice - so I say.

Yeah god damn it (oops...gosh darn it) Teddie's a swell dood. :)

Ric, hehe, you agree then in a profane kinda way, spledid! I think it was emeric that was having the problem with Jon x's download... I wonder if he'll see this.

Dangit, I think it was actually Emeric's post that someone had a problem downloading.

Oh, that was supposed to be "splendid".

I think it was dobro and maybe someone else that were having problems download some of my stuff. Don't know if they were using NS, but dobro was the one playing the short-wave radio.

It was me, and I do use Netscape. So I downloaded the suggested uncook.zip, but I don't know how to make it work now. Typical.
