I bought these on GS just four months ago - these are simply super channel strips with an amazing EQ section. I used them on two CDs...and have nothing but praise for them; however, I need cash for the upcoming studio room build and these will be sacrificed to help fund that endeavor.
PLEASE NOTE - these are series 1E channel strips (not series 1 even though the rack enclosure says series 1!). They have the 4 band EQ vice the 3, and they are priced accordingly. There are a number of series 1 units up on the board right now for around $600. They are also superb channel strips - at a great price. These, however, are a different series with a more flexible EQ and are priced at $825 plus shipping.
Also please note (from the lister's description four months ago) - These also have API transformers for the balanced output. They have been recapped prior to me receiving them and the power supply was newly installed 1 1/2 years ago. The IC's for the mic/line and eq's have just been changed. These are in great shape and sound great! These have been professionally racked in a first class rack.
Bottom line is that these are series 1E channel strips with upgraded API transformers on the outputs - they have been recapped and IC's changed quite recently. Take a look at the power supply and card pictures below as well....this is in pristine shape electronically!
